| Appearances: Larry Hagman attends the 2010 NKF Transplant Games |

Donor recipient Larry Hagman handed out medals to winners in the track and field events on Monday. All of the competitors have either received an organ transplant or are donor families. The Games promote organ, eye and tissue donation and encourage a team spirit amongst transplant recipients and donors.
Larry as usual was wearing his ten-gallon hat and greeted everyone as a friend. He showed up at the Games Expo autographing $10,000 "Hagman bucks" and having his photo taken with recipients, donor families and supporters. And like always would rather bump elbows with everyone than shake hands.
Larry stated that more people need to donate their organs. He received his life saving liver transplant 15 years ago, in 1995. He has attended the transplant games every year since.
When asked how his transplant changed his life; Larry said, "It made me appreciate it a lot more, you don't take life for granted when you've gone through transplantation, and being surrounded by transplantees and the donor families and so forth, it's a wonderful occasion," he said humbly.
This years U.S. National Kidney Foundation Transplant Games are being held in Madison, Wisconsin. They began on July 30 and will run thru Aug. 4, 2010.
For more information, please visit The National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org. And, while visiting their website, if you aren't a registered organ donor already, please read through the process on their website and register today! Donate today, Save a Life Tomorrow!
And in Larry's own words: "I say would you accept a liver or a kidney or heart or lung or pancreas, if you needed one? They say well sure and I say to them well, where do you think they come from? Somebody's gotta donate this thing."

Barbara Eden, browsing in the resort’s shoe store a few hours before the party, smiled at the staffers and customers. The minute she walked out, they started gushing.
